40th Annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta

Saturday, March 10

Buffalo Bayou Partnership sponsors Texas' largest canoe and kayak race- a 15-mile paddling experience from San Felipe and Voss to downtown's Sesquicentennial Park. This ACA sanctioned race begins at 9am and finish line festivities at 11am-2pm with live music, awards ceremony, food and drink available for sale; $40 to enter race and free finish line festivities.

Texas’ largest canoe and kayak race: The Buffalo Bayou Regatta. Houstonians of all ages are encouraged to participate in the 15-mile USCA-sanctioned race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou, whether you are entering competitively, or paddling for pleasure, we encourage you to join in the Regatta.

Those not wanting to paddle can catch the outdoor fun and cheer on the racers.  Free live music, awards ceremony, and food and drinks will be available for sale at the finish line at downtown’s Sesquicentennial Park.

Start:  7700 San Felipe (just west of Voss Street
Finish:  Sesquicentennial Park (Preston at Bagby Street)
