Join the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, in collaboration with Buffalo Bayou Partnership for a free interactive holiday event, Unsilent Night. New York composer Phil Kline created this 43-minute piece specifically to be heard outdoors in the month of December. It takes the form of a street promenade in which the audience becomes the performer. When participants play their different “parts” simultaneously, it helps create the special sound of the piece.
Revelers will walk a chosen route in Buffalo Bayou Park with holiday stations including hot chocolate from Katz Coffee, sweet treats from Whole Foods Market, beer from Saint Arnold Brewing Company and a special visit from Santa courtesy of John Daugherty Realtors!
LOCATION: Sabine Promenade (150 Sabine Street)
PARKING: City Lot H (1643 Memorial Drive)
The parade will officially begin at 7:00 pm. Please remember to bring a fully charged smart phone, a portable speaker for your phone (if you have one) and wear comfortable shoes.
