Learn about local butterfly species\, life cycle\, and habitat on this discovery tour of Buffalo Bayou with Nancy Greig\, founding director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center (now retired). An avid natural historian “jack of all trades”\, she has a particular interest in native plants and insects. Buffalo Bayou Partnership and our project partners invite you to provide input on future plans for Japhet Creek\, a historic Buffalo Bayou tributary and pocket park that will be reconnected to the Buffalo Bayou waterfront and beyond. In addition to improvements including wildflower and native plantings\, lighting\, and an entry plaza to be unveiled later this spring\, a new creekside trail and pedestrian bridge are forthcoming.
