SUMMARY:Missing Waters: Community Chalk Art Project
DESCRIPTION:Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for Missing Waters\, a community chalk art project connecting Japhet Creek Park to Finnegan Park. \nLed by artist Stacy Levy\, Missing Waters uses temporary blue chalk markings to trace the paths of historic waterways buried\, diverted\, or hidden by development. Together\, we’ll help bring attention to the waterways that once flowed through our neighborhoods and introduce more people to Japhet Creek Park. \nNo art experience is needed—just come ready to get involved and have fun! After we finish chalking the route\, we’ll celebrate with a musical procession from Finnegan Park back to Japhet Creek Park\, followed by ice cream. \nWe hope you’ll join us for this special opportunity to come together\, make art\, and celebrate Fifth Ward’s history and waterways. \nLearn more about Missing Waters and see a previous project in Santa Fe\, New Mexico \nFREE REGISTRATION \n  \nCost\nFree \nDuration\n10:30 AM – 12:30 PM \nMeeting Location\nJaphet Creek Park (4600 Clinton Dr.) \nPainting Route\n \n
