Bridging the Bayou: Japhet Creek Community Meeting

Are you a resident of the Fifth Ward or Greater East End? Buffalo Bayou Partnership and our project partners invite you to provide input on future plans for Japhet Creek, a historic Buffalo Bayou tributary and pocket park that will be reconnected to the Buffalo Bayou waterfront and beyond. In addition to improvements including wildflower and native plantings, lighting, and an entry plaza to be unveiled later this spring, a new creekside trail and pedestrian bridge are forthcoming. The bridge, the first of its kind in Buffalo Bayou East, will connect to Tony Marron Park on the south bank, offering increased connectivity and green space for all.

Buffalo Bayou Partnership y nuestros socios te invitan a participar activamente en los planes futuros para Japhet Creek, un afluente histórico de Buffalo Bayou y un pequeño parque que se conectará con el Buffalo Bayou y más allá. Además de las mejoras incluyendo plantaciones de plantas nativas y flores silvestres, iluminación y una plaza de entrada que se inaugurarán a finales de esta primavera, próximamente se construirá también un nuevo sendero junto al arroyo y un puente peatonal. El puente, el primero de su tipo en Buffalo Bayou East, se conectará con el Parque Tony Marron en la orilla sur, ofreciendo mayor conectividad y espacios verdes para todos.
