SOLD OUT: Looking Back History Boat Tours

10–11:30am

This tour is sold out.

Time: 10 – 11:30 am

Cost: $40 per person (children under 4 are not permitted on boat tours)

Weather permitting. Reservations must be made by selecting an available date on the right.

Aboard BBP’s pontoon boat, take a look back to the late 1800s when Houston was founded with Louis Aulbach, local historian and author of Buffalo Bayou: An Echo of Houston’s Wilderness Beginning or Andrew Groocock, local historian. Hear stories of the Allen brothers and historical information about the people, places and events along the bayou that helped shape Houston.

THIS BOAT TOUR WILL NOT DEPART FROM ALLEN’S LANDING.
Please meet at the boat dock at Championship Park at least 15 minutes before departure to ensure the boat departs on time. The physical address is 1001 Wood Street, Houston, TX 77002.

Please meet at 1001 Wood Street. Wood Street is between San Jacinto and Main Street (around the corner from Allen’s Landing and the UHD main Campus). There is meter parking on Wood Street and under I-10. There is large parking lot at 325 Main Street, 77002 that is a 5-minute walk from the meeting location (visible on maps as Championship Park).
To access the area, you will need to go through the 1001 UHD parking lot (very small lot of approx. 10 spaces) and walk along the concrete trails (to your left) – you will see very large steps leading down to the water. Follow these steps to meet the boat at the bayou’s edge.
