Make Music Day

12–9pm, THE WATER WORKS

Take advantage of the longest day of the year with free performances in the park highlighting local youth musicians! In connection with Make Music Houston, BBP presents a public musical celebration of the summer solstice beginning at noon and ending at 9pm.  Feel free to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Picnics are welcome, and food and drink will also be available for purchase throughout the day.

Performances:

12 – 12:30pm: Raul Yzaguirre Schools For Success & Friends

Led by the director of Raul Yzaguirre Schools For Success, this group of high school seniors will be playing jazz standards from the great American songbook and more!

6 – 6:30pm: Traevon Narcisse 

Traevon is an extraordinary fifth grader whose passion for music started in church when he was a toddler. At just 11-years-old, he possesses a talent for both drums and piano. Traevon will play some of his favorite gospel and jazz tunes on his keyboard.
