Waterscape Making: A Harvey Anniversary Public Ceremony

8–10pm

Join BBP and Houston artist Carrie Schneider for an interactive experience to discover what is possible between our public imagination and our relationship with water in Houston, as we mark the two-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey.

How to make a Waterscape:  Guests will sign up karaoke-style and for the length of your selected song, you control your own weather system inside of a fish tank. Lights, bubbles, waves, and water set the scene. Bring or select from available objects, and use your hands to tell your own story about water.

The event occurs in relay so that we lend a hand to one another in a mutual aid loop outside of disaster response. Each waterscape will be videoed from below and projected for all to witness.
