“Love Motel for Insects” Pop-up Events

BBP is partnering with the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts and artist/biologist Brandon Ballengee for bug-watching along the bayou. Children, parents, bug, and nature lovers are invited to look for nocturnal anthropods like moths, beetles, and other critters that are attracted to UV light.

Time No Longer Live Performance

Second Saturday Boat Ride

Musician André Vida, who co-composed and performed the original score for Time No Longer, will appear live for two days only. Vida will play his “Cistern-o-phone,” a custom-made woodwind instrument designed for the occasion. His performance will inhabit and activate Sala’s installation, creating an entirely new acoustic experience of the cavernous Cistern.
