Monthly Volunteer Workday

Houstonians, ages 9 and up, are invited to join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for community-wide volunteer days at Buffalo Bayou Park happening the third Saturday of each month. Whether volunteering as an individual or a small group, your efforts will lead to a healthier environment and a more aesthetically pleasing amenity for all to enjoy.

Nature Walking Tour

Learn about native plants and the insects that pollinate them along Buffalo Bayou! Follow along this discovery tour of Houston’s historic waterway ecosystem by Nancy Greig, former director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Nancy loves the outdoors, especially beekeeping and tending birdhouses in her garden.

Buffalo Bayou Boat Tours

Escape within the heart of the city and glide along Buffalo Bayou. From the waterway, look for wildlife and unique views of Houston's skyline.

Buffalo Bayou Park Wellness Walk

Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership on a free Wellness Walk led by Laura Conely, founder of Urban Paths. Anyone and everyone is invited to walk through the paths of Buffalo Bayou Park while discussing topics including mental and physical health as well as the benefits of being exposed to nature.

Born to Fly – The Currents and Houston Audubon YPAC Bird Week Happy Hour

The Currents, Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s Young Professional Group, is excited to team up with Houston Audubon Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC), for a joint happy hour to celebrate Bird Week! What’s Growing On? Bike Tour: Birds on Buffalo Bayou

Join BBP and Bcycle for What’s Growing On? a nature-focused bike tour through Buffalo Bayou Park. BBP’s conservation team will highlight birding, in conjunction with Houston’s Bird Week to include our bat colony at Waugh Drive and egrets, hawks, and herons who make their home along Houston’s historic waterway.
