The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team will be at Buffalo Bayou Park October 16-18, for a variety of programs including workshops, community outreach, and stewardship projects!
Buffalo Bayou Partnership was nominated and selected as one of just 12 Leave No Trace Spotlight sites nationwide for 2026. The Spotlight program brings Leave No Trace to outdoor spaces where community stewardship can make a meaningful impact.
Leave No Trace is a supporter-based nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the outdoors through science-based education that inspires responsible recreation. As more people visit parks, trails, and public lands, the pressure on our natural spaces grows. Leave No Trace works to ensure that everyone—no matter where they explore—has the knowledge and tools to enjoy nature while minimizing their impact.
Opportunities to get involved
Activities include a guided nature walk, educational outreach at the Buffalo Bayou Park Visitor Center, kid-friendly activities at KBR Kids Day, and a special volunteer event where participants will put the seven Leave No Trace principles into practice while caring for the park.
