Members of both The Currents and HTXOutdoors are invited to a hike along Buffalo Bayou Park during a Full Moon to see the Lunar Cycle Lighting orbs turn white along the trails followed by a 30-minute yoga session atop The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park.
Aboard BBP’s pontoon boat, take a look back to the late 1800s when Houston was founded with Louis Aulbach, local historian and author of Buffalo Bayou: An Echo of Houston’s Wilderness Beginning or Andrew Groocock, local historian. Hear stories of the Allen brothers and historical information about the people, places and events along the bayou that helped shape Houston.

Buffalo Bayou Partnership and Writers in the Schools are hosting celestial and lunar-inspired poetry performances under the ever-changing Lunar Cycle Lighting along Buffalo Bayou. There will be a poetry writing workshop (limited registration), followed by free curated open mic performances, open to the public, featuring spoken word poetry by Houston area poets.
