Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for our annual gala on Thursday, November 6th, a memorable evening outdoors at Buffalo Bayou Park to celebrate our organization’s Milestones in Motion.  Guests will enjoy cocktails and a seated dinner underneath a spectacular tent on the lawn with stunning views of downtown Houston, all in support of BBP’s forward motion towards a more connected and welcoming waterfront for all of Houston.

This year, BBP is marking many important milestones—from the 10th anniversary of the transformation of Buffalo Bayou Park to significant progress realizing the Buffalo Bayou East 10-Year Plan including the completion of a new hike and bike trail segment, new green space at the Lockwood on Buffalo Bayou affordable housing development, and the first phase of our Turkey Bend site.  Your support of this year’s Gala will allow Buffalo Bayou Partnership to continue establishing and caring for a vital green space network along the waterway and lay the groundwork for many exciting milestones still to come.

Tables for ten guests are:  $25,000; $15,000; $10,000; and $6,500.

    Individual tickets are: $1,500; $1,000; and $650.

  • Buffalo Bayou Cruise: Port to Port

Buffalo Bayou Cruise: Port to Port

The Port to Port History Tour is a 2-hour cruise east of downtown on Buffalo Bayou from Allen’s Landing to the Port of Houston Turning Basin.

In 1914 with the opening of the Houston Ship Channel and the modern Port of Houston, the section of Buffalo Bayou from the port’s turning basin to the foot of Main Street (now known as Allen’s Landing) was called the upper channel.  Join bayou guide Andrew Groocock on a historical tour of the upper channel of Buffalo Bayou focusing on the historic significance of this industrial stretch and Houston, as you cruise the approximately seven miles from the old port of Houston to the new port of Houston.

    Cost: $45/person

Departure location: 1019 Commerce Street (at Main Street), go down the cascading stairs (on your left of the 3-story brown brick building). The pontoon boat will be docked at the wharf.

Weather permitting. Reservations Required. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on the pontoon boat.
