Flow into the weekend with Sunrise Yoga on Buffalo Bayou! We’re partnering with BIG Power Yoga for a series of three 45-minute early morning yoga sessions that will take place on the lawn at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park. With a spectacular view of downtown, Houston’s most iconic greenspace is a unique and uplifting backdrop for yogis of all levels and ages. Bring your own mat. Reusable water bottle encouraged.

Learn more about these thousands of magnificent Mexican free-tailed bats that share the city with us! Led by a “bat girl” docent, guests will enjoy an amazing view of the bats’ dusk emergence from the Waugh Drive Bridge on Buffalo Bayou.
Houstonians, ages 9 and up, are invited to join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for community-wide volunteer days at Buffalo Bayou Park happening the third Saturday of each month. Whether volunteering as a large or small group, or individually, your efforts will lead to a healthier environment and a more aesthetically pleasing amenity for all to enjoy.

Enjoy a free walking tour in Buffalo Bayou Park highlighting the landscape and ecology of 19th century Texas that created Houston, as well as the importance of prairies in rebuilding this astonishing and all but vanished ecosystem.
The Bayou City Music Series resumes this fall with free performances at Discovery Green, Emancipation Park and The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park. The concert series, made possible by the Kinder Foundation, honors the great jazz, blues and zydeco musicians of Houston and Southeast Texas.
